The Burning Crusade was the first expansion released for World of Warcraft by Blizzard
The Burning Crusade was the first expansion released for World of Warcraft in January, 2007.
The story is that several years have passed since the Burning Legions defeat at Mount Hyjal and the races of Azeroth have continued to rebuild their once shattered lives. The heroes of the Horde and Alliance have begun to explore new lands and broken through the Dark Portal to investigate the realms beyond the known world.

Editors Note:
World of Warcraft will start on a MacBook, even the older iBook. But it could be a bit frustrating to play this game on these machines because of the low frame rates, especially in instances or raids. I would recommend at least the Aluminum MacBook or one of the new iMacs. Mostly because you get a better graphics card if you select one of them. These are my own opinions and doesn't necessarily reflect those of others.
This game works natively on Mac OS X. With no need to download any special software.
