No sorry but it didn't. My MacBook pro is 3 months old. 500gb, i5 & 2.53ghz. I have not a single start up item. Tried mostly everything but still takes about 45sec to boot up. Also Used mac cleaner. Nothing helps. Reinstalled os10.6.8. After buying first few weeks bootup time was 6sec. Suddenly it got slow. Used only 49gb of memory out of 500gb. Repaired the disk permission aswell. Can anyone pls help.

Hardware Problem

Maybe theres a hardware problem somewhere. Do you have anything plugged in if so remove it. For example things like external USB drives and such. Eliminate everything and see if it helps.

You say you have reinstalled and I see no point in creating a new user account to try with. Unless you did restore from backup?

The next step may be to bring the computer to an Apple store where they can do a quick check on the machine itself. They have the tools to do that.
