Many might think Quake 2 is the sequel to Quake 1 but that is not the case. The name was selected because ID Software had difficulties to trademark alternative titles. Soundtrack was made by Sonic Mayhem and Bill Brown.
This game take place in a sci-fi world. In the single-player game you play a marine called Bitterman engaged in the operation called: Operation Alien Overlord. You have to protect Earth from alien invasion by counter attack the home planet where the cybernetic Strogg come from.
Multiplayer is similar to the previous game, and in 1998 the game was one of the most popular online game played. It sold over one million copies.
Now you can enjoy this game on your Mac. The only thing you need to have is the original datafiles from the game, you can find them on the CD.
