New 2011 iMac With Thunderbolt, Radeon and Sandy Bridge

Apple released updated new iMac models today with Thunderbolt and updated graphics from AMD (Radeon). The new models is based on the new Sandy Bridge platform from Intel wich will give the computer a nice speed boost. As we could se with the 2011 MacBook Pro updates.

27 inch imac

Fastest CPU you can get in the 27-Inch model is the 3.4GHz Intel Core i7. It is also possible to configure these machines up to 16GB of ram and SSD.

A new front facing HD camera is added. Built-in stereo speakers with 17 watts amplifier. Two thunderbolt ports on the 27 Inch and one port on the 21.5 inch. Firewire 800. No USB3 though.

Here is a video of the new 27 Inch model with Intel Core i5 and the AMD Radeon HD 6970 1GB graphics card. It is connected to two dell displays using thunderbolt. The iMac is playing three 1080p videos at the same time without any slowdowns.
