How to find the correct MacBook RAM for your Macbook

Upgrading the MacBook RAM is one easy way to get a little more performance out of your computer. However selecting and finding the correct type of RAM can be challenging and that is why I made this list for you. This guide covers all MacBooks released by Apple.

Now I will explain some things for you: Slots stands for available macbook ram slots that can be filled with memory. This means if your computer supports 2GB of RAM. You will have to buy two 1GB RAM sticks. The same applies if your MacBook can take 4GB of RAM, then you buy two 2GB sticks. Also it should not be any problem to buy faster macbook ram than PC5300 for example. The only thing you need to know is that the memory will still run in PC5300 speed. Even if you buy a faster one, a faster one will still work. A Mac memory upgrade is a good and cheap way to give your computer a little speed boost.

Often the MacBooks come with both slots occupied with RAM from the factory too, that might be good to know.
