Damaged MacBook Pro Keyboard?, No Problem!
If your MacBook Pro Keyboard or MacBook Keyboard is damaged there is several ways for you to fix the problem or get a replacement. This page suggests some of the solutions you could try. Repair it yourself, or buy a USB version and plug it in.
First of all I would like to recommend the website iFixit. You will be able to find repair guides and they also sell most of the parts and tools you need to fix it yourself. Set aside a few hours, it is fun and gives a good feeling when you have managed to repair something yourself.
If you still are uncomfortable doing service yourself, there are other options to explore. You could just buy a new keyboard and plug it in the USB port of your MacBook. Maybe it is not the most wanted solution but it is cheap. You can buy almost any kind of keyboard. Regular PC keyboards will work too, if you have one laying around at home. Make sure it has a USB port though.
Apple keyboard
Apple have their own aluminum keyboards you could buy. I use the wired one myself and it works just fine. Its a bit expensive though.
Or you might want to buy the wireless version.
Protection
If you have a bad habit spilling things all over your computer you can get a macbook pro keyboard cover. This is a plastic film you place on top of the keys. You can also wash it, if you need to. The protection film is also transparent so if you have backlit keys it wont block that. The light will shine through.
