With iPod Classic you can have your entire library of music and videos right in your pocket.
iPod Classic gives you 160GB of storage right in your pocket. Yes that is correct, 160 gigabytes. You have to have a really big music library to fill this one up... Lets try to find the cheapest one shall we?
First a little info ...
The front and back is made of metal, this makes the player feel really sturdy and it increases the overall quality feel. The drawback here as on the other models is that scratches get visible sooner or later depending on how you use the player. Especially on the backside. There is of course cases you can buy to protect it. This is something we have come to expect from the iPods Apple make.
The player should fit in most pockets but you might notice that this player is a bit bigger and heavier. This is not a flash based player, it is a small hard drive in there! But then again you have your complete library of music with you.
As with all other iPod players iTunes is the application to use when you want to transfer music to your device. Every time you connect the player to your computer it synchronize your library automatically without you having to interfere. It is of course possible to turn off this feature and let you handle this yourself. It is your choice.
Also it charges when you connect it to the computer which kind of makes the whole syncing and charging a little ritual.
The menus are simple to use, Apple have definitely succeeded in this. You sort your music by artist, album, genre or composer. iPod Classic also have the easy to use navigation wheel. Just touch it while you circle your thumb around to view the contents, for example change song, or adjust the volume.
You can also watch video on this unit, I would not recommend a full length movie though, the screen is a bit small for that. But maybe one episode of Simpsons or your favorite tv-show when you need to kill some time commuting.
Video-formats it support is a bit low, and you might need to convert some of your video files if you want to watch it on your iPod classic. If the videos you have work in Itunes they should work on the iPod too.
This is a really really good player for you that need a lot of storage capacity.
