It seems like iPhone complaints should be low considering all great and positive reviews the Apple iPhone get. However it didn't take long until the first complaints surfaced.
Removable Battery? The most obvious must be the battery, people asked: where is the removable battery? If you want that you just have to get another phone. Apple doesn't have it, and we do not really know why. We can speculate of course. I think this was some kind of design decision. How would the phone look like if it really had an removable battery. More bulky perhaps. We have some third party manufacturers making iPhone cases with built-in batteries. Someone have seen the problem and solved it, with added bulk, of course.
A large quantity of phones today have card slots where you can insert more memory. Many cheap phones also have this option. Why doesn't the iPhone support this? It is flash based memory in this phone after all. Shouldn't you be able to add more memory on your own if you want? Apparently not!
Expensive. This is no cheap phone, you have to dig a little bit in your wallet to be able to buy one. In many countries you also have to sign a two year contract just to be able to get the phone. Not all countries operate with this practice but this is apparently what Apple wants?. My employer pays for my phone usage, shouldn't we be able to buy the phone as any other? And use it with the carrier of our choice? Well ... it is possible but not that easy in all countries.
These are the iPhone complaints I think are the most valid ones. We have lots of other more or less silly complaints, and a bunch of valid ones too. Like no Adobe Flash support, just to name one.
A new product is often bound to have some real life problems, the iPhone is no exception. When people actually begin to use the phone on a day to day basis the iPhone problems begin to surface.
I have read some reports of tiny hairline cracks in the iPhone casing. I have also seen burned iphone charge connectors, cracked iPhone displays (not a pretty sight...). Most of these hardware problems should be covered by warranty anyway. Maybe not the cracked display but you get my point...
In my opinion, the advantages of owning an iPhone by far outweighs some of the disadvantages.
Do not let all those iPhone complaints get your hopes and expectations down. This is still a magnificent phone and I do not regret for one second the money I had to part with just to get one. Remember that almost all products have some sort of missing feature, it is all about what you expect of your product. Even though we may need some iPhone help and iPhone troubleshooting assistance.
Remember if your phone is completely drained out of power it may take up to two minutes until you can see the low-battery image.
If you charge by USB make sure you have connected the cable directly into the computer and not through an USB hub or something similar. It can be a low-power port and this will not charge the phone.
If the red part of the battery image flash three times and then the screen goes black it means that the iPhone is not receiving charge.
If you have some other strange problems it can help if you try to restart the phone. Especially if it appears frozen or stuck. What you need to do is: press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
