Find out why i enjoy Mac OS X.
Just so you know,
I do not and have never worked for Apple.
I have never EVER received any endorsement or compensation of any kind from Apple.
This is my own words and thoughts.
Now you know ...
I have been using computers as long as I can remember. It began with my mother having a Apricot computer for her studies in programming and developing applications. I was fascinated by the machine and I could not stop playing with it. That was my first encounter with a computer.
If we fast forward a couple of years my interest grew, and I got my first PC. It was a monster, a screamer!. Intel 386, 25Mhz with a 40MB hard drive. It ran Windows 3.1 and DOS. This was really hot, and I got hooked!
During the years ahead I got to know pretty much every version of Windows there is. Actually I got quite good in optimizing and keeping the systems clean and problem free. You know, you just had to do that, when using Windows. I didn't really think so much about it, I just thought it was the way to do things in the computer world.
Someone did show me the Apple system at one time, and I just didn't care about it. What would I do with an system from Apple?, it was too expensive, and it didn't have any neat or good applications in my point of view. I kept it in the distance until ...
I thought, well, lets try OS X then, see if it is as good as people think it is. I had some money burning in my pocket, and the recent things I had read about OS X did convince me to try it out. Also I had some experience using OS X before I decided to buy my first iBook. A friend of mine showed it to me, needless to say I was impressed.
You have to get used doing things another way, remember you are not living in the Windows world anymore. When I realized that I was amazed over how easy it was to work with your computer, not working against it, tricking it into doing what you want. Just do what you want and it ... yes... as Apple say: it just works. I love Mac OS X, I will never look back ever again!
And those who say there isn't any games for Mac, one word: Blizzard.
