How to sync iPod? There are several ways to accomplish this, the most common way is to download and use iTunes. However we are not tied to use iTunes, we have other options as well.
Most often you are fine using iTunes. iTunes is made by Apple and that is the best application to use if you are wondering how to sync an iPod. Even though I like using iTunes some cant stand using it for some reason. So we have alternatives if you want to stay away from iTunes.
Alternatives to iTunes
Floola - Floola is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod or your Motorola mobile phone (any model supporting iTunes except iPhone and iPod touch). Manage Music, Videos, Podcast and Photos all in one simple app, anywhere on any computer. Works on Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
Songbird - Songbird is an open-source customizable music player that's under active development. Works on Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. Songbird does have Apple iPod Support but it doesn't work with iPhones and iPod Touch.
YamiPod - YamiPod is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod under Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. It can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation. All iPod generations (except iPhone and iPod touch) will work.
But what if I have the iPod Touch or the iPhone?
It seems like we finally have some software that will work with these devices, you can check out. Copy Trans Manager. They claim their software will work with the iPod Touch or the iPhone.
Now you know about some ways how to sync iPod. I would still recommend you to give iTunes a shot, try it out for a few days and you just might like it.
