How do I transfer a CD to my iPod shuffle?
How do I transfer a CD to my iPod shuffle? If you are not used to computers the process of taking that CD you have in your hand, and somehow getting it over to your new ipod shuffle might be difficult. But do not be afraid, it is quite easy and if you want to know how to do this, continue reading the guide.
First we need some software
I will assume you use a Mac when you are reading this guide, however the same instructions can be applied if you use Windows. If you use Windows you will have to download iTunes which you can find here. What you need to do first is connect the ipod shuffle to your computer. When you have done so iTunes should start. If iTunes doesn't start start it up now.
If this is the first time you connect the ipod to your computer it will probably ask you to name your new ipod. Just go through this setup wizard step by step, you need to do it anyway. If it asks you to automatically select songs for you and transfer them to the ipod I would have said no there. I like to have that control myself.
And we put the CD in
Now insert the CD with the songs you want to transfer to your iPod shuffle. iTunes will now ask you if you would like to import this CD. Accept this and wait until iTunes have imported all songs for you. When it is finished you will see the songs you imported in iTunes. What you do now is just select all those songs and drag them to your ipod icon in iTunes. It will now begin transferring those songs you selected and soon you will have them on your ipod.
Wasn't that easy?
