How do I check remaining battery level on my ipod shuffle? Apple have incorporated status lights in all of their iPod shuffle generations that will give you a hint on how long your battery is going to last. This guide will help you interpret those lights.
First generation iPod Shuffle
The status light on this iPod is found on the back of the device. The light turns on when you press the button beside it.
Green = Good charge
Orange = Low charge (this light will also be on when you are charging the ipod.)
Red = Very low charge
No Light means no charge
Second generation iPod Shuffle
The status light on this iPod is found on top and bottom of the device. The light activates when you press a button.
Green = Good charge (between 30% - 100%)
Orange = Low charge (between 10% - 30%)
Red = very low charge (under 10% battery capacity left)
No Light means no charge
Third generation iPod Shuffle
Here you find the status light on top of the device.
Green = Good charge (between 26% - 100%)
Orange = Low charge (between 11% - 25%)
Red = very low charge (1% - 10%)
Blinking red = (under 1% battery capacity left)
No Light means no charge
