Didn't help

My MacBook Air has always run well. I recently downloaded and installed a system software update and it has run slowly ever since. Text won't enter, clicks aren't acknowledged. Just terrible.

I would like to reset to an earlier version of the system like you can do on a PC, but that does not seem to be available.

I am ready to dump the Mac.

Don't give up

Just take your Macbook Air into an apple store and they'll figure it out for you at no charge. Or call them for free phone help if you are still under warranty.

Try this
by: Bjornar

Maybe you have software running in the background that takes up CPU time? You can check that using a tool called "Activity Monitor" You find it in the Applications folder then the Utilities folder.

You can also try to make another user and log in with that one.

Or backup you machine using time machine and reinstall.

You can also ask in the forum if you want:
