Dashboard was killing my mac

My macbook (leopard 10.5) has been running super-slowwww for the past year. I turned off everything on my dashboard and also the dashboard itself. My computer runs like new again. I can't believe I had been putting up with the ridiculously slow speeds for so long considering how easy of a fix it was. I owe you guys big time (around $1200 for a new macbook). I wouldn't suggest waiting for that check to come around though. Thanks.
