Critter Crunch, Clear The Infestation!
Critter Crunch was one of the first games I purchased for the iPhone. First time playing the game I was using the iPhone 3G. This review is written based on using the 3GS.
It seems like many good games get forgotten real quick and that is a shame because there are many of them, well hidden games in the App Store.
This is a game based on the puzzler formula, with beautiful graphics and fun gameplay this game is well worth paying for. You play a guy, or should I say an insect? called Biggs.
Our little Biggs live in a forest where you have to help him clear out the critter infestation that is constantly descending from above. The way you do this is to make him reach out with his tongue to grab a critter. Then spit it out again to one of the bigger critters who then eats it and pops when it has been given two of them. Simple and straight forward.
If you stack several critters next to each other you can also earn combo points. If you spend too much time re-arranging the playing field the critters will come too near the ground and eat up our bellowed little Biggs.
During the game you get access to certain special powers you can use to aid you in the infestation. Garlic, that makes all critters jump up one position, another special power lets you spit away a critter of your choosing, to name a few.
It is hard to put this game down, it has addictive gameplay and it well worth the cheap price it has in the iTunes store.
