Finding An Cheap MacBook, Is It Possible?
Are you one of those thinking about buying your first macbook? But you want to find a cheap macbook? It is true that the price tag is a bit higher compared to regular PCs and that might put someone off.
There are ways to save a bit of money and still have the technology you really want in your hands. You can actually get that MacBook cheap you know ...
Consider the specs ...
First you need to ask yourself: Do I really need the fastest macbook available? Probably not. If you are going to use your computer for everyday tasks you really do not have to have the best performing Mac. You will not use that available power anyway. With everyday tasks I mean surfing the web, paying the bills, listening to music. Watching or editing some photos from your home camera. That sort of things doesn't require so much power.
Even with a cheaper macbook you will still benefit from the software that comes with it. The software is the same from the cheapest Mac to the most expensive Mac Pro.
Do not buy the latest model
Macbooks get updated too even if they usually look the same on the outside. If you go for a used macbook you might find a real bargain, a cheap MacBook. You still get the amazing technology but maybe with a little less RAM, and hard drive. But that can also be upgraded later on. Make sure you get the original receipt if you buy a used one. Ebay is a good source here, but make sure to read about the seller before you dive in and spend your hard earned cash.
Refurbished MacBook
Another option is to buy a refurbished MacBook directly from Apple themselves. This is a really secure way to save some money. Apple gives 1-year warranty on refurbished products. It is often older models they sell but that should not be any issue. You still get a factory overhauled machine that you most probably will enjoy a long time. Read more about: Refurbished Macbook.
