Apple Mail is easy to use, easy to setup and yet powerful.
In my opinion the best part with Apple Mail is when I set it up for the first time. I use the free e-mail provider gmail and the only thing I need to do is enter my e-mail address and password, nothing more. After that it is all set up to begin sending and receiving mail. This also works with Yahoo mail, and some other providers. This makes setting up your e-mail account really easy!
There is also a spam filter built in, although you have to train the application, after a while it will be better and smarter detecting those unwanted and nasty mails.
It also features more than 30 professionally designed stationery templates such as: invitations to birthday greetings, stationery templates feature coordinated layouts, fonts, colors, and drag-and-drop photo placement from your iPhoto library, everything to help you get your point across. You can even create personalized templates.
I cant say I use all these features, I just use mail, for just that purpose. Mail. But it works great for that too, I do not have anything in my way. It is not bloated like other software could be and still, with all those features.
Snow Leopard Feature:
Apple have now included Microsoft Exchange support too. And you can use spotlight to search exchange messages. It also auto-discovers the exchange data. This support requires Exchange 2007 servers. Pretty nice !
