About Me: My name is Bjornar Kibsgaard and I am the owner of all-about-apple.com.

I am 30 years old and live in Norway with my spouse, my son and two twins! At daytime I work as a service technician with photocopiers and printers. Installing new products at customers on-site, keeping them up and running and servicing them are some of my tasks in a regular workday. This also means I travel a lot, sometimes there can be long days on the road. Norway is not the biggest country in the world, but some of the distances are quite respectable ...

I also have the Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) Certification however that is not my main priority at work. I help out if it is a lot to do.

I have been working in the printer business since 2001. First I started off providing technical support to Hewlett Packards Swedish and Norwegian customers by phone and e-mail. At that time I was working and living in Sweden. Also during that time I provided support for inkjet printers. When I had done that for one year I moved up to laser printers.

Also when working in Sweden I met the most wonderful, smiling, warm girl who is now my spouse. We have been together for almost 7 years now and we have a son together and two twins. A girl and a boy.

After almost four years in Sweden we decided to move back to Norway. I had a pause in the printer business but after a year and a half i got lucky and got the job I have today. I really enjoy working with these machines, it feels like I learn something everyday and the day I stop learning something is the day I might consider changing profession. However The pace of todays technology doesn't seem to stop so I do not think I will quit just yet ! Far from it. And people talk of paperless offices?... haven't seen it yet ...

But this site is not about printers, it is about the products Apple make. A couple of years back I got fascinated with Mac OS X and some of the products Apple create. I wont consider myself a die hard fan, I have my feet firmly planted on the ground. I am not even a cool guy, rather a nerd that realize working with your computer is better than working against it.

I made this site because I felt there was a need for it. I always try the help people in the most non-techy way possible. Switching over to a completely new computer platform can be confusing. This site will try to ease that confusion and to be of help to new Mac users, as well as seasoned users. I have 8 years of experience providing help and support to a wide range of different customers. I will use this knowledge when I am helping and informing the users of all-about-apple.com.

As you might have realized, since English is not my 1st language, I welcome any and all input ... if you have suggestions on how I can make something clearer, please let me know.
